I wanna buy a flat panel monitor with resolution 2560x1600 or 2500x1600.
I want the highest refresh rate and my GPU supports upto 240Hz.

My current choice is NEC LCD3090W-BK-SV 30” Widescreen Black Flat Panel LCD Monitor .
But its got 60Hz at 2500x1600.

Don't care about price.

There are no monitors beyond 1920x1080 at 120hz. Nothing can even display 240hz.

The refresh rates TVs advertise are not the same.

"240Hz" is only for HDTVs and it only refers to internal video processing for smooth playback of video. The same also applies to 120Hz HDTVs as well.

HDTVs only accepts 60Hz input and operate differently from 120Hz PC monitors. Specifications for TVs and monitors are developed by at two separate entities. Maybe in the future these entities will consolidate into a single entity to develop standards due to convergence. However, this is very unlikely.

Addtionally, I beleive 120Hz on PC monitors is constrained to 1920 x 1080 at most due to bandwidth issues.
