Tv link up

Hello,

I am having trouble linking my laptop to my tv with vga lead. when i plug the lead in, i get a message on laptop screen to configure new monitor, which i do. but cannot find a way to get a picture on the tv. help appreciated, thankyou!

have you tried FN+F4 (projector modes) ?
