Resolution and the Asus X203H

Hello,
Right now, I'm putting together a computer for starcraft 2. I'm planning to get the ASUS X203H and the GTS250 as my video card.
I'm planning to connect my ps3 to the same monitor.
So i was thinking why dont i use the VGA port of the monitor for my CPU and the DVI port for the ps3?
what are the pros and cons if i did that?
