Well that about sums it up what the hell is the 9800 SE I have seen it on price watch for around $200.00 is it worth it or is it a scam?

its a 9800 with 4 pixel pipeline.
Those card are regular 9800 that didnt pass the 8 pipeline test. BUT if your lucky you may get a SE with full pixel pipeline working. If you only get 4 pixel pipeline then the card is not very good. ....


My own beast: Athlon 2700xp+ , Radeon 9800pro (oc: 400/360) , 512mb ddr400. SO MUCH faster than my father pIII 550......

What would you say it would proform like? Would you say it is still is as good as a 9500 Pro?

hmmmm somewhere between the 9600 and 9700. maybe a bit less.

9800np is a WAYYY better card so it's recommended that you spend some extra money and get that.

It's pretty much a 9500NP for $200. I'd say that's a rip-off, IMO

no, it falls between the 9600 and 9600 Pro.

It's a 9500 non-pro with 9800 software features. The 9600 Pro is significantly faster while costing less, using less power, and producing less heat.

Yes, but it's hard for me to make that recommendation when the 9600 Pro is $160.
