Whenever I open Control Panel or Network Connections (in Control Panel), the
Folder pane shows in the left of the screen. I then have to close the folder
pane to see the Control Panel or Network Connections window in its entirety.

I can't find any solutions.

In the control panel select View from the menu, then Explorer bar, and
unselect folders.
