better configuration

i have the EPOX 8RDA3+ mobo with Athlon XP 2500.
which is the better configuration; above hardwares with 2 pcs of 256mb DDR400 or 1 pc 512mb DDR400? thanks!!

get 2x256 and put them in different coloured RAM slots to get dual channel. will boost performance slightly.
