I haven't been able to find, well I haven't looked extremely hard, the difference between the 146 Opteron and the 246 opteron CPU's. I'm assuming one is PGS 754 and the other 940 pin? Is there much if any of a difference between the two cpu's? I'm looking at putting together a dual Opteron system so I'm trying to find out information. Thanks,

- Both are 940-pin.

- For this build, Opteron 246 should be chosen.
