The best way is to connect the tablet to your wireless home network if you have one , if you just have the modem connected to the computer and no wireless router then to connect to the computer it has to have a wireless adaptor or you will have to connect to the computer by usb cable and that would defeat the purpose of having the tablet.
So if you coul;d post back and tell us what you have for your internet setup it would be helpful.
Less hassle than connecting wires to your tablet. All you need to do is connect this router to the modem. If the modem only has one RJ-45 port, then connect the PC to one of RJ-45 ports to maintain the PC's wired connection. You should read though the manual.
1. Load up the software to help you configure the wireless router.
2. Create a password so that only people who knows the password can connect to it.
3. Choose WPA2 security protocol; the most secure wireless security protocol.
For more advanced and secured wireless network refer to the manual about creating an access list. All wireless devices have a MAC address (Media Access Card) and it is unique to each device. Add the MAC address of your tablet to the access list. Devices can only use your wireless network if it has the correct password and it's MAC address is in the access list.
