Scrolling issues

I have an issue with my computer, in firefox and other documents the page will randomly scroll slightly, up or down at random intervals. I originally thought that this was caused by an issue with my wireless mouse, but after unplugging my mouse and keyboard from the computer the problem still occurs. What could be causing this?

Vipre is showing me as clean of virus and spyware, my video drivers are up to date, what else should I look into?

Well sometimes antivirus do not catch everything. That is why i suggest you scan it also with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

I have used the software you recommended (Malwarebytes) and it is showing me clean as well.

The issue still persists, regardless of whether or not the mouse is plugged in.
