Hey, I'm building a new computer and everything seems to work great - no beep errors or anything. But the BIOS - asus a7n9x version 1005 will not recoginize my optical drives: A 16x LiteOn dvd drive and a 52x Asus cdrw. The jumper on the burner has it set to master, and the jumper on the dvd has it set to slave - they are on the same channel. But they don't appear in the BIOS. My hard drive, an 80 gig WD with the 8mb cache, shows up as master on the first channel.

Wondering if anyone knows what could be wrong.

nevermind, i tried another IDE cable and everything is working fine.

My guess would be that the channel is disabled in the BIOS, but I guess not...
