own a firewire pci card, the problem is when i install it on my mother board, my windows will not shut down. my windows keep restarting even i choose to shutdown. everything is ok if i uninsert the firewire card from my mother board

(I am speculating here, i dont have the answer)
First thing i would do is try to flash-upgrade your BIOS - go to the motherboard manufacturers website and follow the link.

The only other thing i can think of, not a solution really, is to get used to pressing the actual power button at the point of the computer resetting before it goes into POST.
