Hi everyone. Hopefully someone can help me out. I'm looking to buy a Lenovo Thinkpad W510. I've been holding out now for a month on their FHD display (1920 x 1080) but they are anticipating being out of stock for at least another month. I don't think I can wait that long. How much of a difference (noticeable to the eye) is there between a FHD display and an HD+ (1600 x 900)? Is the difference that noticeable? I'm really in need of a laptop now but also don't want to be disappointed. I know how nice the FHD displays are, as I had an HP Envy 15 for a few days but returned it because it throttles CPU performance way too much under battery power.
What's your usage?
Because in games and movies you will see a noticeable difference because of showing more pixels on screen but in normal tasks such as playing around in windows you won't see much of a difference and also when you set the display resolution to 1920x1080 on desktop, you will get tiny icons(because its a 15" display)
