reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key. please help i have my mini conected to a larger hp laptop by usb cable

Have you been playing around in the Mini's BIOS?
"Selected boot device" should be the Min's hard disk.

I don't think the USB connection from the Mini to the laptop is going to do you any good. What are you trying to do with that?
