Forum Laptops & Notebooks : General Discussion Which one!?!?!?!?

I am having trouble picking between two laptops for college.

It's between and HP dv6t and an HP dv7t. There are some minor differences.

The price difference is negligible.

One more thing that I'm most concerned about is Battery. Is it that important?

What would you reccomend?

I would go for the second one because of having a better graphic card and a bigger and better screen

If the price is the same, the question for you is, what's more important. Larger screen (more room to work and play) and games (the video card)? If so get the second, which overall seems like a better deal.
If you'll need to use it places without an outlet, then get the first, because a laptop with a dead battery, is a brick.

It all depends on what you want to do. The first one (15 in.) is smaller, probably lighter too and therefore more portable and it has (based on your specs) a 12 cell battery so better battery life; however the smaller screen and keyboard can be annoying if you spend long hours working on it (unless you also have external monitor, keyboard and mouse). For that the 2nd one (17 in.) is better, it has bigger screen, better resolution and probably larger keyboard; however it will be heavier and might not have an as long battery life (8 cells).
