Forum Windows XP : General Discussion DRM

Hey guys. Maby this post belongs in the WinXP section but, I didn't get a satisfactory reply there.
There is a hidden folder in the All users folder in WinXP. The folder is called DRM and contains about 6 or seven weird files, including a registry key. What is this?
Also, when looking for plugins for Netscape7 I found that it has installed a Micro$oft DRM plugin. What is this?
Thanx

I think this is it.

DRM = Digital Rights Management

<A HREF="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/drm.asp" target="_new">Windows Media DRM</A>

<A HREF="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/drm.asp" target="_new">Windows Media Digital Rights Management 9 Series</A>

There is a feature in Windows Media Player under Tools\Options\Player\Internet Settings ... "Acquire licenses automatically".

This folder is where the license files are stored.

These links are also fairly interesting:

<A HREF="http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q234332" target="_new">Windows Media Player Error When Playing Packaged Media</A>

<A HREF="http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q297751" target="_new">Cannot Acquire DRM License with Netscape 6 as Your Default Browser</A>

I believe this information should finally put you on the right track.
