I know I certainly won't be buying one for that price. If the PC shop down the street was selling them for half that price I would be tempted, but ultimately refuse. :smile:

Well, according to slvr_phoenix my "common sense is probably disabled" for believing that the P4EE could be priced that high from Intel. I guess we will find out next week!!

I've just calculated how much money I've spent for my current PC components. I've current PC components (including monitor) has cost me ~$730. And I haven't spent $730 at once. I've spent it mainly within last 18 month and in step by step.

You need big bucks to but that cpu. That's why I bought 2.4C Cheap.

I dunno, if I had a spare grand or so lying around when I finished putting all the rest of the components for a pc togeather I might would pick up an EE or FX. Problem is, by the time you blow 3-4k in component parts you don't have a k or so left to get a processor.
