If anyone wants to see some benchmarks on the g5 check it at this location... <A HREF="http://www.apple.com/powermac/" target="_new">http://www.apple.com/powermac/</A>

PCI-X, up to 8 gigs of ram too..

Let the nay-sayers say what they want, this is the REAL power system.

I would like to see what the others where running for Ram and I personly don't see the EE or the FX up there and since the FX has the potental to run tons of ram because of the 64bit part. I don't like articals that don't show all the information. I can do benchmarks of the 3.2c losing in almost all benchmarks agenst a 3800+ as long as I only show the benchmarks that the 2800+ wins in and oh yeah I for got to say that the 2800+ was running 2gigs of ram at realy low latancy and the 3.2c was running only 256mb or Ram at really high latancy.

How me a valid benchmark comparison in which they not only show you what each indvidual set up as but also shows all the competitors that would fight this so called "Worlds Fastest Computer". Oh and also a price to proformace ratio as seen with the EE you can make a prosessor do big leaps and bounds if you just though a ton of cash at it.

Point is if the so called "Worlds Fastest Computer" is this good and out does Intel AND AMD this bad is it worth it.

Other than that it looks good and I hope it proformces well like this.

Oh and looking it does say that prices start at 1999.00 but that really doesn't say much as it doesn't say what you get for 1999.00 and my guess is that the set up they where running in them benchmarks 1999.00 only scratches the surface of the price you would have to pay.

Why don't they have the 3.2 in the test, amd a64,or the amd fx. Also when I looked at spec web pages, I found the scores to be different then that web page. take this for example: http://www.spec.org/cpu2000/results/res2003q4/cpu2000-20030922-02529.html
This is a 3.0g intel that scores 376 difference, then what apple has on THEIR WEB SITE.
You should do a little more research before you post something. It really shows how dumb you really are!!!!!

I've come to the conclusion that g5_inside is a useless troll that posts misinformation out of his ass in an attempt to fire us up.

You use you little Mac. I'll use my PC. We'll both be happy.

LOL that is too funny!!!
OMG!!!
APPLE FUCT UP!!!

the dinks that they are, don't offer the consumer the ability to customise their systems... there for there is <b>NO</b> MACHINE THAT IS A <b>SINGLE 2Ghz</b>

OH and hey G5 guy, why don't you have any responces to you other two polls that you started here?

I am Mac user...I would like you to stick around..I'll admit for some entertainment puroses... but also because its good to have a more Mac users perspectives...

Hopefully you will see and understand what it is we do here, prove and disprove claims, mostly, sometime have a little fun too

All we hope is that you and and anyone else can learn from what we have to prove...please bring proof or questions... but please try and lower the flame... the collective here will surly show you the light if you choose to listen.

WE don't aim to 'TURN' you to ANY side, there is NO 'side' only truth...

LOL

You think that offical site of a magor company wouldn't "streach the trueth"? You don't need to lie when you are a Corpation you just don't tell the people everything and leave people to inturpet what you have said. Most of the time the facts that they display just point people in the direction that the company wants the people to think. They don't LIE.

very interesting that they dont show more pc based comparisons, I would be willing to bet that these are the only relativley new systems that they could beat. where are the other systems? like others have said? doesnt look like they are comparing apples to apples(no pun intended) they are comparing apples to oranges. neither of the comparison pc's are 64 bit. hmmmmm... wonder why?

Reminds me a lot of the AMD benchmarks that showed the AXP 3000+ faster than a 3.0 GHz P4. Taking benchmarks from Apple's own site as fact would be about as smart as taking an nVidia PR statement or an AMD benchmark as fact.

ok, then what is this idiot getting up on his high horse about? comparing a 64 bit machine to a couple 32 bit ones? like comparing a corvette to a pinto....absurd...

Funny, I thought this was the world's fastest personal computer <A HREF="http://www.go-l.com/desktops/machl38/features/index.htm" target="_new">http://www.go-l.com/desktops/machl38/features/index.htm</A>. Also funny how the spec scores are over doubled the ones on the Mac page...I guess that means faster.. And there'll be a new fastest every few months. Get used to it.

Hope you upgraded to Panther to fix those glaring security holes!

[sarcasm]Wait... I thought OS X was the most secure OS on the planet... how could there possibly be security holes?!?[/sarcasm]

Your Mac is nothing but a useless paperweight to me. I might as well use it as a boat anchor... at least then I'd be getting SOME use out of it. For what I do, a Mac is useless... I don't care how fast you think it is.

I'm really getting sick of your ignorance. Everyone here knows and has seen legit benchmarks where PCs come out on top. Additionally, the majority of us are gamers in some way--most games are not out of Mac and they also clearly don't run as well. Additionally, we seldom find it justifiable to spend that much money on a computer at once and get less performance out of it.

Continue sweetening your e-pussy...it means nothing to us.

Damn Rambus.

Damn right that's the fastest computer sold today...unless you buy single components and save a [-peep-] load of money over both of them (though that solid state HDD is quite nice).

Damn Rambus.

Oh God no!!! i never actually 'Built' that... sorry my bad, i was reffering to that link that kevbo posted... I loved that machine... so i cutomized one...To be as expencive as possible, just to see how expencive on tower could possibly be.

thats what the price came to...I asume that that was US$

If i was to build a machine however for my self from that...the price was accually only $4599...and that was a pretty decent machine...

now i See where the EE comes from... WOW

Hehe, how about 4 monitors? Check out their monitor page.
<A HREF="http://www.go-l.com/monitors/index.htm" target="_new">http://www.go-l.com/monitors/index.htm</A>

It says there they use "high-end Quadhead Multiple-output Professional Graphics adapters". I've never heard of that many monitors together before, but man, 92 inches of screen space? That's just insane...

I know I shouldn’t bump the troll threads, but as seen at overclockers…
