ie 6 address bar

when i type a url in the address bar the system will nt respond and also when
i hit the down arrow next to the address bar to see previously visited sites
the same thing happens , however if i click favorite sites the pages load up
normally or if i google a site and click on it it loads normally? any ideas
or help?

Try clearing the History folder and TIF completely.
