Hi, I just built my friend a computer, a P4 2.6 Ghz with an ABIT motherboard. Everything was working fine till he turned it off. When he started it up the next day, a message in POST said "The cpu has been changed, press F1 to continue" and then it boots up normally into windows. Everything appears to be fine, but this happens everytime it boots up, is it hurting anything?

Yes, they do that just to f*ck with you, go into BIOS and turn off the "CPU Speed Error Hold" feature in Softmenu III.
