What is best laptop technologie?

My girlfriend needs a laptop for school. I was wondering what king of laptop are the best.

I was looking at Centrino tech and it looks pretty sweet. I'm trying to avoid P4 Celeron like the plague. Are AMD XP good laptop cpu? What are you recommendations ?

well .. if its for school and not gaming than a centrino will be your best chioce .. otherwise you may need more than one battery to power the thing throuhg a school day. Try going to futer shop and using the build a pc thing. can make a good computer there for less than $2000

Yes. Centrino is probably the best choice. Centrino will give her best price/battrie life. Also now days more and more schools are adding wireless on campus, and centrino will come with wireless which will help her.
