THE SETTING: I was sitting down one day thinking about the best way I could find sources to use in my report over Hardware Engineering for English class and then "CHA-CHING!" a light bulb came on in my head. What better place than Tom's Hardware!

I decided to come here because I know there a lot of informative people at Tom’s who could probably lead me to some really good web sites or even tell me what it is like to work in this field from personal experience. Any websites or sources that could provide any information concerning what the job is like, job requirements, history of this career, average salaries received, tools and equipment used or even information about the general working environment would be greatly appreciated.

My brother UFO_WARVIPER also mentioned that a user by the name of Raystonn would have been able to provide me with some excellent information, so if anyone knows him or is friends with him please tell me.

Wait a minute there's a second UFO! Be afraid, be VERY afraid! JK.

I recommend you PM raystonn. I know there are others also involved in computer for a profession. Maybe you should change the title of the post to: ALL COMPUTER PROFESSIONAL: I NEED HELP. Or something like that.

BTW, when is ur bro coming back??

Damn Rambus.

If your brother say "Raystonn" can help you he may be right. From what we know about him is he works at Intel and he has knowledge about lots of Intel Products. He also has very good knowledge about hardware design (I Think). I think he may be able to provide you with good information, but there is one problem.

The problem is he hasn't posted any replies to this forum for long time. So good luck finding him.

You can also find lots of people who work in the hardware industries at Realworld.
