This link said the benchmark for 2.8 G Prescott is not even better than 2.8G P4 in some case and certainly lost to 3.2 G . Hm what 1 MB cache is for.

Bench are right here.
CPUBench 2003 Beta 2 Version 1.5 seem to be the only bench that stand out for Prescott.

Website seems a little dubious. Personally i think the real performance will come with the Prescott is on a fresh socket.

AMD Is An Anagram Of MAD, Intel Is An Anagram Of INLET, Cyrix...Ah Who Cares?

<A HREF="http://www.ocheaven.com/article/0310/readgoodarticle.asp?id=26" target="_new">This site</A> seems to conclude that Prescott might still be a contender... so who knows?...

Personally, I think it's not really up to us to say that Prescott will flop. Some early A64 benchmarks I saw made me go "hey, what the...?", but as it turns out, it's a great processor. I won't make that same mistake again, regardless of which company the processor comes from...
