I have a AMD XP2000+ now. Thinking of just going up one step to XP2400+ (Thorobred).

Is there any really increase in current draw or power consumption with the 2400 over the 2000? I only have a 300w power supply (Antec).

If you are going "A" to "B" thorougbred, you will have a drop in power usage, if you are already using a b core, you will see a slight increase in power consumption. Either way, if you make Crashman happy ( by getting a new fortran psu) it will not be too expensive, and will save you in the future.
