With the first request, a program does exist:
http://www.softick.com/cardexport/
It is much, much easier to buy a small USB SD card reader and use that.
Don't know about the second one.

I prefer CardExport myself. It is much easier to put the unit in the
cradle, start the program and tap on connect. No need to remove the
card and put it in the reader. And no need to drive to the store to
get the reader. Plus, I have a cradle at home and at the office. I
would have to buy two readers.

IMHO. YMMV.

"Much, much easier" is an overstatement regarding a card reader versus
Card Export II.

Now, version 1, which required unique drivers on the desktop computer,
is a different story.

Same here.

Some people dream of success, while other people live to crush those
dreams.

Yep... all depends on what you need. You can get a portable USB SD card
reader for about what Softick's Card Export costs -- I got one for $19.95
at Wal-mart, and I'm sure it can be gotten more cheaply elsewhere. The
hardware one also reads memory sticks, which might come in handy someday.

Note as well the Card Export uses a special Windows driver -- so if you
need/want to be able to work with Linux, MacOS, or anything else besides
Windows, it won't do you any good.

I have a SanDisk Cruzer that lets me put any size SD card in it. I bought the
one that came with a 32 MB card on sale. You just slide the button toward the
card slot, insert the card and slide the button back to the center position.
When you want to use the card, you slide the button toward the other end of the
Cruzer and an USB connector emerges. Plug the Cruzer into an USB port on the
computer.
