A simple Google search would have told you that yes, the 630 Prescotts are 64-bit. However, you might not like the performance on what is now considered a very low end CPU.

Thanks for the confirmation. I could not find a definitive answer; I did look first. Thank you for yours. I installed a SSD and W7 Pro on this machine, and it is so much faster than the IDE HDD and XP Home. My Dad is 86 and doesn't want to change much, as you can imagine.

Just out of curiousity, are you going to switch any of your PCs to W8?
