Have a friend of mine that is interested in getting this game. What is
a good price range for a decent machine?

Anything I should advise him on?

Anyone have one? He could pick up the machine at Expo.

Nice BSD's seem to run in the 1300$ range.

Make sure the Magnet/mist multiball works. Check for wear around the
rat hole and the Mystery hole. The center bank target is often cracked
but can be replaced for 15$-20$. The mini bumper posts at the top of
the outlans are also often loose/damaged needing a bit of wood filler
to make em stiff again.

These are all good points. Also look for shooter lane wear at the top
of the lane where the ball drops under the main ramp on the right.
