i resently buy an ati radeon 9600pro (build by ati)si the firt stage of upreding my pc is done. know im startint to save money and starting to think what cpu/motherboard combo should i get. so im lookin for any sugestion and please dont tell me that i have to buy a p5 9000mghz or something unreachable i live from my parents and the only money the only way to win money is doing classes at the university.

Since you didn't mention what your budget is, I'll assume it is low-budget, here are two CPU/mobo combinations that are low budget.


Athlon:

Abit NS7 (I think that is what it is called)
AXP 2500+ (OCed to 3200+ levels)
PC3200 RAM


Pentium:

Abit IS7
P4C 2.6 (OCed to ~3.2GHz)
PC4000 RAM


The pentium system is faster in general, but more expensive.
