Bios/win 7 not recognising my hard drive

hello there i recently had a few parts die on me so i have started to rebuild a whole new comp my motherboard is a asrock 970 extreme3 cpu is a fx 8-core black edition and gpu is a gigabyte hd7850 2g gddr5 with a seagate 1tb barricuda 7200 hdd now thats out of the way my problem is im trying to reinstall win7 but neither my bios or win 7 r recognising my hard drive i get stuck at where it asked me where i want to install it to i try load drive but as i said it doesnt recognise it and help would be awsome thank you

Try different SATA port settings, try plugging SATA lead into different port, try another SATA lead...
