~ Cannot Delete File, Used by Windows Explorer!!! URGENT! ~

Hey everyone!

So I have a few very small files that I want to delete but when I try, it says "used by Windows Explorer."

But I know I run Command Prompt, but when I type in the file name, it says, it cannot be found.

The harder problem is that I don't think Command Prompt recognizes the name...it's dddrkknghtrsssss72bd.dago (1) - Copy

and dddrkknghtrsssss72bd.dago (1)

Which is why I cannot delete them through Command Prompt...I deleted others no problem as they have "regular" names...

PLEASE HELP! This is killing me as I also have OCD!!!!!

Thanks in advance!!

  1. on the command prompt do "dir" to see the file name. It might be using the 8.3 format.

    or use this

  2. maybe its already deleted and windows explorer just thinks its still there. Happened to me a few times before. Try restarting your computer and then see whats up.
