Budjet 400$ college netbook

Hello,
This is my first thread here.
I'm looking to buy a netbook for college, and want your advise.
These is what i need:
The screen size should be 10"-12",
Good CPU,
Long time battery (minimum 8hr)
price: under 400$

The computer will use only to MSOFFICE and internet work,so no need for gaming computer.
Also, I prefer a 1366X768 resolution as minimum if its possible.
I probably will buy from J&R or from B&H. (NY)

Thanks,
Nati

  1. For $400, you can get a pretty decent netbook.

Here are a few netbooks that I think will be right up your alley:

Asus (9+hours of battery life): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220504

    Toshiba: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834114795
  2. Both of this computer have a poor resulotion of 1024x600
What about the new asus Eee 1005PR or the sony vaio VPCW211AX/W W Series?
Both of them have a 1366x768 resulotion, which one of them has better performance?
The asus have better battery life i know.
does it has any other diffrences?

    the sony:

  3. Nati, of the two you list, I think the Asus is the better.

What do you think about this computer?
    How is his battery life?
    How is the su2700 cpu?
  5. Thanks,

I prefer the culv cpu over the dual-core, because the battery life , size and weight.
