Hi , anyone got speed comparisons ?

i am thinking of upgrading my current 4 year old Dell poweredge 6400 server (4 x P3 700 Xeons , 2 Gb SDRam,100Mhz FSB )
I use it for home use , autocad and stock market trading

I am wondering if the latest Pentium 4 3.0 533 FSB might be just as fast ????

i got the server for a good price , but i cant upgrade the CPU's above 900 Mhz anyway....and the price would probably be close to a P4 with similar specs ,and i can probably use my SCSI drives in the P4.

whats peoples opinions on comparison please ?????

Most programs would prefer the P4 3.0GHz.

Those P3 have very large L3 cache so my guess is your software like big cache you might like to stay on large cache CPU.My best tip is to go look at the software vendor to see want they support.

I dont like french test
