I have aquestion about celeron II's. I know they are not an uber-powerfull cpu in terms of gaming etc, but hey the insurance company bought the laptop for me so I don't care. The question is this: what is the celeron II core? Is it based on a p2, p3, p4, something a drunken Intel engineer came up with while he was drunk?
I know its an obvious question, but i'm quite curious.
The CPU most companies refer to as a Celeron II is a Pentium III Coppermine with half the cache, added cache latency, and a slower bus speed.
