Mouse cursor disappears in fullscreen mode

Hello,
my mouse cursor disappears when in fullscreen mode in games (but is still active, can click things but it is invisible) also, there is a "cursor" that is stuck and motionless on the screen while doing this. cursor operates and looks normal when in windowed mode or using normal windows programs. the device manager shows that i have two mouses connected but i only have one. i "disabled" the phantom mouse, yet it still doesnt help. also, i tried several mouses and and now using a microsoft 3000 intellimouse (wireless) i downloaded new drivers for it. i am using W7 pro. and it is a new machine.

Same problem Microsoft Wireless Optical 200 i7 3.2gig 6gigRam Effects all games
Go to control panel disable Aero, any special mouse tricks, basic only, cursor will come back then add one feature at a time, it worked for me. Good luck.

  3. I had the same problem also, so what i did was opened my mouse options, went to pointer options and unchecked "Display pointer trails." Hope that worked!

    Me: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/58912-3-mouse-cursor-disappears-fullscreen-mode
    Me: I had this issue
Me: no mouse cursor in games

Me: A couple of months ago when upgrade came out
MS: So when did you encounter the problem?
Me: after turning mouse trails on
Me: I just fixed it now
MS: When did you install the game?
Me: it happens in all games
    Me: anything full screen 3d
MS: When did you install the game and when did you encounter the problem?
MS: So before you have not encountered the problem?

    MS: Sure!
MS: I will take note on that

    Me: turn off mouse trails
    MS: I see.
MS: You may have to turn off that so that you will be able to see the cursor upon playing the game
Me: Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options > untick display pointer trails
Me: yes that's what I am telling you
MS: This is not a bug, it is normal, it needs to adjust some settings on your system
Me: no it is a bug
Me: mouse trails should not kill mouse pointer in games
Me: that is not a "feature"
Me: please log a bug and get it fixed
MS: We will take note on that and that you for raising that issue to us
Me: so you will raise a bug?
