Color page HR6x scanner driver upgrade windows 7

I have an old scanner, Genius, Color Page HR6x Slim 1.5 and I can't find a driver for the new windows 7 OS. Somebody could help me ?

Not to sure about the website. Scan the file before you run it to be safe.

the file is safe, but it is still the old driver, not recognized by the Windows 7.... Thank You anyway ...

Hi,

Get this driver for windows vista from genius web site:
http://download.geniusnet.com/scanner/hr6x_s.zip

First I unziped and installed in compatibility mode. After I restarted windows 7, I verified in "device manager" that the driver was not installed for HR6X. So I right-clicked in "Update Driver Software" and chose the folder I have unziped. After that, the scanner was detected and it is working now! I used corel photo paint to scan a test page and got success.

I had the same problem with my HR7X Slim and I think I solved it changing the language. My system is Windows 7 64 in a HP Touchsmart 320 PC and I was trying with Spanish (my language). The system said OS not supported. Then I tried with English and it installed perfectly! I didn't used the scanner yet, but the driver is working.

PS I've connected the scanner and at first it couldn't be installed. I tried with the update driver option, chose the folder where the driver was and the system told me it wasn´t a certified driver. I chose install anyway, and tada! Solved!
