I'm trying to have WinXP to put my CDROM and burner to DMA. I know that my devices are DMA capable but Windows insist to put them to PIO. Even if the setting are set to DMA if available in device manager. When I first installed WinXP everithing was right. I have to change the HDD and reinstall windows and now, it's not working...

My setting:

Asus A7V (kt133), t-bird 900
HDD on promise ATA100
burner master on IDE channel 1
cdrom master on IDE channel 2
WinXP pro, tried with and without VIA 4in1
Nero have been installed when devices were set to PIO, so I'm thinking that maybe it is locking the devices to PIO mode. I will try to uninstall it.

Any other idea?

Thanks
