Turtle Beach x12 or Logitech F540s

Hey guys, my brother is looking to buy a gaming headset for the Xbox 360. He wants the Turtle Beach x12 set which is on sail for $40 at BestBuy right now. I told him to spend $30 more and get the Logitech F540s which are also on sale but for $75. He thinks the x12 are better, but I assure him that the Logitechs are. What do you think?
