I have a 2001 HP Pavillion PC running Windows XP Home edition. From the
information I have read, Microsoft Bluetooth drivers/software *should* have
come with the SP2 update, but they are nowhere on my system. Before this
update, I have never used any type of Bluetooth technology or downloaded any
type of its software. I have recently purchased a Microsoft Optical Desktop
Elite for Bluetooth and IntelliMouse Explorer for Bluetooth but have no way
of using them, as I have no bluetooth device manager whatsoever. When I plug
in the Bluetooth device into my USB port, I get the error message "One of the
USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not
recognize it." For other devices, my USB ports work fine. My question is, how
do I enable Bluetooth on my computer? Any help is greatly appreciated.
