Hi.
I have a eMachine M2352. A little old but it has all I need.
I opened it in order to clean the dust from the fans. After that, I assembled it and tried to power on.
It stays on for about 5-6 seconds and then shuts down. The same problem all the times I power it on. During that time I can enter to bios and see that RAM and CPU are working OK.
I have some experience with computers but I have never seen this kind of problem before.
I would appreciate any suggestion.
Thank you in advance !

P.S. Sorry for my poor English.

Did you remover the heat sink on top of the cpu? When in bios check your temps.

Yes, I removed the heat sink to clean it. Unfortunately there is no time to make any change in bios, just I can see that processor and RAM are ok. The paste between cpu and heat sink is damaged. Do you think the cpu gets hot so quickly and then shuts computer down?
Thank for your time.

Yes the paste between the cpu and heatsink needs to be replaced. You will need to remove all of the old paste before you apply the new paste.
