hello i am geting the bsod above. it started this morning and it is to the point that i cannot start widows without getting it. i am able to get into safe mode and safe mode with networking. i have uninstalled and was attempting to reinstall my amd driver and i cannot seem to get it to work in safe mode and without safemode i get like less than a minute of use before i crash. help?
i am not incompetent when it comes to pcs so not everything needs to be dumbed down for me :) but i am getting a bit flustered with my lack of progress on this issue so i decided i would post and get help this way.

i am running windows 7 64bit
8gb ddr2
amd athlon x4 ~3.00 ghz
asus M4a785-m Mobo and no external gpu
windows is installed on a 40gb hdd
and i have a 500gb hdd for data
both seagate

I got that error a week ago, or so, but it was only once in a great while. I noticed it happened once, after upgrading my video driver (an AMD Radeon 6550D [onboard graphics]). I used the ATI Catalyst Install Manager, and updated the driver, and it happened about a day later. I never did pin that problem down. I reformatted, and skipped that last driver update this time, and am not, so far, getting the blue-screen again.

One thing I noticed, though, before I reformatted, since I was able to access the errors in the Windows System Log....I noticed that an error happened at exactly the same time as the blue screen. It was a "Kernel Power" error (Windows did not finish booting up, and was rebooted).

Did you, by chance, upgrade your system, like put in a new Video card, recently, that requires more power than your old one? There's a chance if you did, that you have exceeded your power supply's maximum power output.

The first thing I would do is try to remember the time and date of the last blue-screen, and then boot to safe mode with command prompt, and run:
compmgmt.msc
expand "event viewer", and "windows logs". Click "System", to see which messages appeared at the same time as the blue-screeen message. If you don't have enough power to run the whole system, like when trying to run a system that requires 430Watts of power with a 350W power supply, that could cause major problems like that.

I would say, "click" on one of the error messages, first, before recording info off the screen. After you click on one of the red with white exclamation mark error-lines, detailed info about that specific error will appear in the "pane" below (where it has a "General" tab, and a "Details" tab [at times the "General" tab info will explain about the error]); but,

Do you mean by, "Also it seems that it doesn't blue screen anymore it just restarts," that the system just keeps restarting and restarting, without letting you logon?

Ok will do and by that I mean I login then after the desktop loads I get like 30 seconds to a minute of "use" then it goes black and restarts. Seems like it is at the end if booting up if that makes sense

I'd say you have work to do on your video drivers, but I can't say for sure if there is something else more pressing going on, like a failing power supply.
I think you need to get advice from someone with more experience with video drivers than I have. Sorry, I have to defer, bro. Good luck with this one.
