Sources close to Advanced Micro Devices unveiled some of the company’s plans concerning next year central processing unit products. As anticipated, the company will continue to use Socket 754 and 940 form-factors till some point, but will also bring 939-pin 64-bit processors with faster bus.

Where the hell is the 3400+, i thought that was supposed to come out before years end. It's getting really close to 2004 and AMD only has one processor for the socket 754 and 940 platforms.

It's listed on <A HREF="http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=ada3400box" target="_new">froogle</A>. May want to get in contact with your computer hardware vendor(s) to see when we can make a non-preorder purchase of one.

And it appears that AMD Athlon64 3000+ may be purchased from <A HREF="http://www.spartantech.com/products.asp?orderid=28273550439556521177291&cat=312" target="_new">spartan</A>. I haven't tried to order one though.
