Hi, Everyone!

I work in Windows XP on my desktop. I have laptop. Can I save the
Windows settings (e.g. arrangment of icons on the desktop, etc.) on my
desktop Windows XP and transfer them to laptop Windows XP?

Thank You Very Much.

Truly Yours,

Simon Dexter

That will work only if you have the same programs installed to the same
location on your laptop. Also, any desktop links to personal files would
necessitate that the same files be installed to the same location on the
laptop. If the aforementioned is not correct the link will not work.

You will need to copy your user desktop from C:\Documents and
Settings\Userxxx\Desktop. Then you would need to paste the information to
the relevant user setting on the laptop.

Simon,

Use the 'Files & Settings Transfer Wizard' at:
Start Menu > Programs > Accessories > System Tools
