As much as I hate to do it, I am considering parting with my NOS
Gottlieb Spider-Man playfield. Feel free to email me with offers and I
will then see if it's worth it to me to sell the Spiderman playfield.
I also have the original shipping box from Gottlieb, with a 1980 post
office date stamp on it. The box is in poor shape, the playfield is in
great shape!

I hope nobody is offended if I end up keeping it. With young kids and
many bills, I'm feeling like I could use the cash towards "more
important" things, but won't sell the playfield at a low price.

I have several photos of the playfield available, so just ask. I am in
western PA. Thanks!

It's a nice looking game. You seem to have a price in mind...just post
it and see if there are any takers...save you from dealing with lowball
offers.

I'm sorry if I should have put something different that "For Sale
(possibly)" in the title of my message. I guess by taking offers it
isn't just "For Sale", technically, and I apologize. I don't consider
it an auction, just want people to offer what they feel comfortable in
spending to get this NOS Spider-Man playfield. I may end up keeping
it.

I don't have an exact amount in mind either. I have received several
offers already, and I appreciate those offers. I have responded to
every offer truthfully. I can say that at this point in time I will
not sell it for an amount less than $700.

Several people making offers have said "you can get more on eBay than
what I'm offering...". I truly would like to avoid trying to sell this
on eBay if at all possible.

I also want to point out that, like other NOS playfields, there are
minor registration issues in some areas on the playfield. There is
also a factory re-touched small number five ("5") in the number "500"
near the bottom left side of the playfield. The retouch was done
before the lacquer was applied. This playfield is NOT clearcoated...
it is in it's original condition.

I am a long-time collector of Spider-Man memorabilia, and this is
probably the rarest item I've had in my collection. Does anyone know
how many of these, unused, still exist? It is truly a beautiful piece
of art in it's current, untouched condition. The "collector" in me
says "don't touch it! Keep it like this!" The rarity and beauty of it
is the biggest reason I haven't used it to replace my old playfield.

(Spider-Man is the only pin I own...I have done a cabinet repaint,
using computer-cut vinyl from a local sign shop, and found a near mint
backglass, so my playfield is the only 'worn' part of the machine. If
anyone is interested in buying my acetone sheet tracings of the
cabinet/head/coin door artwork, which you can use as stencils to paint
your cabinet, or sections of cut vinyl from my "sign guy" and avoid the
painting, please let me know. I can send you photos of my restored
machine).

If I get an "offer I can't refuse" (which I don't really have a dollar
amount on right now) I will sell it. If not I will keep it in my
collection and possibly put it into my machine at some point.
