Seriously he is! Only a fool would expect everyone to know all about CPUs before the post. Trying to insult me because I just asked soem questions pisses me of big time. I have looked through the old posts in this board and there were quite post that were could me simply answered, I sure didn't see pitsi going around insulting them. Why the heck he go out of his way to insult me. Anyhow, guess he was AMD fanboy and got upset because I MISTAKELY said AMD was bad. You should learn to be more helpful then insult people!

Calm down, dude!

He's not one of popey's accounts.

BTW, if you don't know- popey is an Intel user.

what he I and many others don't like is you have showed no effort to on your own research the answers to your questions. Anyone here would tell you that you are asking very basic questions and the answers are easily found by just spending some time with your favorite search engine.

Also saying amd is generic is just stupid bud, you need to know what you are talking about before you make comments. There was a time when AMD (along with oodles of other brands) made chips for intel. In fact if you look at an old 8088 or 8086 IBM PC you may even count more AMD branded chips than intel branded chips.

Firestorm, I've gone through tons of the messages here and Pitsi is not stupid nor a fool.

I think he was a bit impatient with you, but when you post on public boards, you need to understand that people don't always read your posts the way you type them. what I mean is, you could be saying something with one attitude, and people read another attitude into it entirely. That is a limitation of text communication, and you need to be aware of that and prepared for it if you'll be posting here or anywhere else.

I myself have posted a stupid foolish thing once or twice here(some may argue more), the worst being a post I did late at night, where I advised someone to go with an Athlon 64 3000+ as he would have an upgrade path to FX later. The stupid thing about that was, and I knew this, but my head wasn't clear, those cpus use two different sockets, so there really isn't an easy upgrade path beyond replacing your ram, motherboard, and processor... I bring this up, because I've never read anything on par with that from Pitsi, and THAT was truly stupid...

Anyways, I'm just saying, Pitsi is one of the brighter people on this board IMHO. There are alot of bright people on this board, and any impatience on their part is not a sign of them being stupid. PIII Man hit the nail on the head, the way to rile their impatience is to do zero research on your own(or appear to) before posting here. I recommend getting in the habit of at least googling for answers and then posting questions for clarification for whatever you don't understand about what you find.

Even doing that will still not keep you entirely from the impatience of others. The only way to counter impatience is with your own patience, understanding that no matter how clear you think you are being, there will still be misunderstanding. Resorting to personal attacks will never help, unless you're on a board with lots of kiddie brained induhviduals...

I'll get off my soapbox now... Take care.

Thanks everyone for their kind words. I must say I was really surprised that when I visited the forum today, the first thread in the list was one with my nickname in it! Anyway, I admit I am a little impatient sometimes but I still don't think that I was wrong in Firestorm's post. I won't bother typing anything else since I don't think that there is any reason to.

P.S. I was just wondering, shouldn't threads like that lead to the deletion of the poster's account?

Most of Firestorm's posts, thought incorrect, seem like an innocent misunderstanding to me and there was no reason for you to criticize him. Others had already explained to him why he was wrong about AMD CPU's and he had accepted their information. Why would you tell someone how ignorant they are about computers and continue to criticize someone when they have already admitted that their initial beliefs about processors were wrong?

What about SoDNighthawk's post?
He only said that because a couple of days ago, I said in one of my posts that "everytime I read one of SodNighthawk's posts I feel he is living in a world of his own". I don't see anything wrong with that. 90% of the users in this forum agree with me so what's the reason to even bother replying to him?

Right now I am well update and probably know as much you do pisti!
This what he said after finding out that MHz has nothing to do with a CPU's real-world performance. And this exactly shows why I don't agree with you. It has nothing to do about how much I know, or how much he knows. But after this I know I was not wrong and in fact, I should have said something more to him because after all, the only thing I said (and correct me if I am mistaken) is that he doesn't know anything about computers and he should start studying if he is interested to learn.

Unless they're in the other forum then they're fairly common ;P
