K8 CPUs have no FSB. HyperTransport bus of 939 pin A64s will work at 1000 MHz instead of current 800 MHz.

The Front Side Bus is the connection with the CPU and RAM (with chipset in between because it has the memory controller)

On K8 CPUs, the memory controller is part of the CPU. So the FSB is inside the CPU. This means that you don't have to worry about it. The northbridge now connects to the CPU vire Hypertransport bus.

Hope this helps

I have viewed this site on my Am386DX-40, 20MB RAM, OPTi 392 chipset, Cirrus Logic ISA graphics on Windows 95 OSR2 with IE4 it works!!

So suppose I have AMD 2.5Ghz with hypertransport of 1000 Mhz. What would the CPU be like if I use 400 Mhz RAM and if I use 500 Mhz RAM.
