Checking Windows XP Updates, it mentioned the following hardware update:

What is this and is it something that would be helpful to me (I don't want
to mess anything up). I have a Dell Dim. 2400 with XP (just upgraded to SP2)

Your computer has on-board graphics. The update offered is a newer driver
for same.

In general, the drivers offered by Windows Update, while safe, are not as up
to date as what you can get directly from the manufacturer. If you feel the
need to update your driver, either go directly to the manufacturer's web
site or get your drivers from Dell.
