One simple question - do you know a program, which checks if the cpu works correctly (I mean - if all instructions are good, not if CPU overheats)

There is a great program it's called return to whence it came, the store you got it at and get them to replace it with another CPU.
If you have the same problems when you get the new one home use the same PROGRAM with the motherboard.

If you think it is a bad CPU Bruno it proly is just get rid of it.

If you are trying to find the faults your self you could try a really simple benchmark like Mad Onion's/Future mark's 2001 SE Benchmark if the system crashes during that test at the very least you will know some part of the system is not functioning.

Or you could use software such as Hot CPU Tester Pro 4 (ver4.1) but as we can all understand that stuff costs money unless you know of a site you can download them from :\ but then you will proly get a virus from one of those...sites.

It's obvious no one knows what you're talking about. I however do :)

I know of no such program, but if windows and your programs don't give you errors constantly, then you can be fairly certain the cpu isn't calculating anything wrong.

Some day I'll be rich and famous for inventing a device that allows you to stab people in the face over the internet.

Thanks for your help. I know that I must buy a new computer. My type:

AMD between 2400+ and 2600+ but I I don't know if Barton is worth buying (or maybe not??)
Asus A7N8X nForce2-S Dual Channel
2x256 MB DDR RAM
nVIdia 5200 128 MB 128 bit - (also I don't know which vendor)

I'd appreciate your help.
