Windows XP Installation Folders

Does anyone know where Windows stores the files while it is being installed. I have a corrupt install on a machine and would like to know where the folder is so that I may delete it.

If it works for you then don't fix it.

Do you have to clean install Windows again, you mean? Just start the setup process, then when it prompts asking which directory to install to, format the one you were going to have Windows on, then install to that one.

If a corruption occurs again, please post back and explain what components are in your system.
