ASUS VE248H vs. VH242H

i'm deciding between these two monitors at the moment. is the first one worth the extra $40? or, is there an even better monitor that you guys suggest for under $220? that's my budget, no higher - really don't even want to spend that much if i don't have to.

i'll be using it for gaming and watching videos, and i want at at least a 23" screen and full HD with at least one HDMI connection.
