I play games that are graphics intensive, and I will have a desktop that is a Q6600 @ 2.4ghz 4 gb ram HD radeon 5770, I want a laptop that I can take places and play games since most of my friends enjoy lan partys I could see us playing games together in the dorms, just curious as to what you guys think I should get.
It looks to have everything I need, but I have read about the cpu dieing after a few months, although I also understand every product will have its lemons, its just how it works lol, but thanks for the help!
First of all you can't find a gaming laptop with a powerful VGA which lasts for 3hrs,so if you either have to play games on low settings or sacrifice the battery life a bit.
This ASUS G60 is an excellent gaming laptop for under $1000 but i think its battery would last about 1hrs and 15-30minutes(with brightness set to lowest) http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+Laptop+with+Intel%26...
I like these two, but for programming and gaming on the go, I think I might forgo quad core for better battery life and if that means I could afford even faster graphics, that would be good. Not that I know for sure that such a laptop exists...
Alienware's M11x doesn't have 1080P, but it has great battery life, excellent graphics, CPU that's good enough for programming and gaming and can be had for less than $1000. Plus it's really portable, 11.6 in screen. just a thought, given I've been to college and I know what I would have liked to have back then.
