Usb connector

I can't physically remove the logitech wireless mouse connector, is it stuck or do I need to do something else with it (need port for ipod)

Sounds like it's stuck, USB devices are made to be removable easily. Don't try too hard or you may end up with a dead computer. Just find another port for the iPod. If you need to, get a USB powered hub, spending $10-20 one one of those beats spending $500 on a new computer if the motherboard gets fried or damaged.
